10 Healthy Recipe Bloggers You Should Know
by Hannah Seda
A while ago, I posted a list of 10 Delicious Healthy Snack Recipes from Pinterest. This week, I’m going to round up my ten favorite healthy food blogs. Some of these blogs are ones I frequent all the time, and some of them come highly recommended by friends and family. Let’s get to it!
Hands down, //sweetpotatosoul.com/" target="_blank">Sweet Potato Soul is my favorite food blog. Not only does //sweetpotatosoul.com/about-jenne" target="_blank">Jenné make incredibly useful recipe videos (that will make you want to dance), her food is on point! There would be no justice in the world if I didn’t recommend Jenné’s //sweetpotatosoul.com/2016/05/jerk-jackfruit-tacos.html" target="_blank">Jerk Jackfruit Tacos––it’s like a party in your mouth!
//www.skinnytaste.com/" target="_blank">Skinnytaste is my go to when I’m looking for sweets and not calories. //www.skinnytaste.com/about/" target="_blank">Gina believes that “Exercise + a well balanced diet + good sleep = a happy life.” I have to say I agree. Plus, her //www.skinnytaste.com/no-bake-cheesecake/" target="_blank">No-Bake Cheesecake recipe is one of the easiest and most delicious dessert alternatives I’ve ever come across.
I have a cousin who says these //chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2015/03/18/chocolate-chip-peanut-butter-bars/" target="_blank">Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars have become a must have at her book club meetings. //chocolatecoveredkatie.com/about-2/">Katie uses simple substitutions in this dessert to cut fat and calories. We’re told this treat is best when served warm.
Run by two Registered Dieticians, //teaspoonofspice.com/about-us/" target="_blank">Serena and Deanna, this blog comes highly recommended for anyone looking for good food “with a healthy dose of nutrition.” Not only do they post fantastic recipes, these ladies also have an incredibly helpful section on //teaspoonofspice.com/category/healthy-kitchen-hacks/" target="_blank">Kitchen Hacks.
One of the women I work with said there would be no justice if I didn’t mention //www.kimscravings.com/about/" target="_blank">Kim’s recipe for //www.kimscravings.com/2015/01/copycat-starbucks-hearty-veggie-brown-rice-salad-bowl/" target="_blank">Copycat Starbucks Hearty Veggie and Brown Rice Salad Bowl. As a mom of three, Kim’s recipes reflect her want of staying healthy, while not sacrificing flavor, and this recipe is a perfect reflection of that––you’ll love it.
//paleomg.com/about-me/" target="_blank">Juli refers to herself as “a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer.” Dance moves aside, her blog comes highly recommended by a friend of mine. Her //paleomg.com/easy-breakfast-casserole/" target="_blank">Easy Breakfast Casserole recipe is healthy, delicious, and prepped and done in just under an hour.
I don’t eat meat, but I am told that //www.foodiecrush.com/about/" target="_blank">Heidi’s recipe for //www.foodiecrush.com/teriyaki-chicken-rice-bowls/" target="_blank">7 Spice Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowls is packed full of flavor and nutrition. Not only do I love this recipe, I also love that Heidi’s blog has a section called //www.foodiecrush.com/category/friday-faves-2/" target="_blank">Friday Faves where she posts TGIF’s recipes.
Real food, real talk are what this blog is all about! //littlebitsof.com/about/" target="_blank">Kelsey is a relatable woman sharing her stories and recipes as she navigates fitness, food, and life. Her recipe for //littlebitsof.com/2014/10/spaghetti-squash-chow-mein/" target="_blank">Spaghetti Squash Chow Mein will change your life!
//www.kitchenistadiaries.com/" target="_blank">Angela describes herself as “a self-taught home cook,” but her cooking skills go far beyond those of many master chefs. Her recipes are filled with flavor and a touch of good home cooking. Her //www.kitchenistadiaries.com/2016_02_01_archive.html" target="_blank">Spiced Grilled Eggplant & Cauliflower Herb Salad is delicious and packs a healthy punch.
Last but not least, how could we not include our favorite dietician (and frequent blogger here) //foodconfidence.com/about-registered-dietitian-danielle-omar/" target="_blank">Danielle Omar of Food Confidence! She has an excellent //foodconfidence.com/recipe-index/" target="_blank">recipe index, filled with healthy, delicious foods for every kind of eater. The recipe I hear about the most is the one for //foodconfidence.com/2015/02/22/dark-chocolate-lemon-energy-balls/" target="_blank">Chocolate Lemon Energy Balls. These balls are fantastic because they are pop-able and stay well in the fridge.
